NFL star, actor, and boyfriend of the most famous female singer, Travis Kelce celebrated his 35th birthday this past weekend. Travis was seen celebrating his birthday with his brother Jason (Eagles legend), and star quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs, Patrick Mahomes.
Travis posted multiple photos backstage at Zac Townsend comedy show at the Midland Theater in Kansas City, Mo. The trio celebrated the birthday party in a private lounge area and would even take turns posing with Townsend.
Jason’s wife, Kylie Kelce, was also in attendance – which brings up a glaring question: where was Taylor? Travis’ girlfriend, Taylor Swift, was not present for the outing, despite her flying from Kansas City to Nashville, Tenn. that same day according to a user on X.
That same day, Travis hosted his second annual Kelce Car Jam charity event, and highlighted what he wanted for his birthday this year in an interview with Page Six:
“I’ll take another Super Bowl if you got one of those,” he said.
He also included why Taylor was not in attendance through the interview:
“She will … not be here [today. But] I know she’s coming in for the game.”
Taylor has notably been absent from the past two games during Travis’ slow start to the season. Despite rumors of a breakup, multiple sources have stated her absence is due to her busy schedule. This may be obvious as she is gearing up for her Eras Tour set to resume in a few short weeks.
Taylor and Travis’ Relationship
Taylor and Travis’ relationship sparked in July 2023 after Kelce attended a Swift Eras Tour concert in Kansas City. He attempted to give her a friendship bracelet with his number on it, which was initially unsuccessful. Swift later reached out and started dating privately. Their relationship became public on September 24th, 2023 once Swift attended a Kansas City Chiefs game in Kelce’s private family box.
Through the remainder of 2023 and beginning of 2024, their relationship would strengthen, and would be spotted publicly often. They were spotted on numerous dates in New York City and Kansas City. During the football season, Swift continued to support Kelce at his games. In December 2023, Swift opened up about their relationship in her TIME Person of the Year interview, confirming they had been dating for months before going public. The couple rang in 2024 together and celebrated Kelce’s Super Bowl win in February, with Swift flying from Tokyo to Las Vegas to attend the game. Their relationship has continued to thrive, with both supporting each other’s careers and making occasional public appearances together.
