Famous actress Halle Bailey and rapper DDG, have recently announced their breakup. While the couple may love each other in some way, they believe a breakup is best step for them.
DDG took to his Instagram story to hold an emotional statement:
“After much reflection and heartfelt conversations, Halle and I have decided to go our separate ways. The decision was not easy, but we believe it’s the best part forward for both of us. I cherish the time we’ve spent together and the love we shared. Despite the changes in our relationship, our love for each other remains deep and true. We are still best friends and adore each other. As we focus on our individual journeys and our roles as co-parents, we cherish the bond we’ve built and the beautiful moments we’ve shared.”
Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr. and Halle Bailey went public with their relationship in March 2022. DDG announced their relationship in a romantic tribute to Bailey for her 22nd birthday. The couple met through social media after DDG slid into Bailey’s dms.
Bailey stated in August of 2022 that she was in love with DDG.
Shortly after announcing their relationship, the couple announced the birth of their first child, a boy named Halo.

In an interview with People Magazine in 2023, Bailey discussed her relationship with DDG and its impact on her personal growth:
The best thing about young love is that you’re able to continue to find yourself through this journey of loving somebody else. I feel like things change when love gets more involved in your life. I have definitely discovered more within myself as a woman. It’s a really cool thing to go through, but a transformative experience.”
