Tito Jackson at the age of 70 died after a heart attack on the road
On Sunday Tito Jackson died when he suffered from a heart attack on the road according to New Mexico Police.
They said it was 6 P.M. when a passerby noticed Tito’s emergency. At that time Jackson was traveling from New Mexico to Oklahoma; the place where he had moved.
His car stopped near the American Heritage Plaza when the driver flagged down the police.
Soon he was taken to a hospital in an ambulance but few hours later pronounced dead at the age of 70.
Steve Manning; manager of Tito’s informed that Tito was traveling cross-state when he suffered from a heart attack.
However; after the formal investigation the cause of death was not revealed officially. An autopsy needs to be conducted to trace the real reason for death.
3T’s Band confirmed Tito Jackson’s Death
Jackson has three sons Taj, Taryll, and TJ ages 51, 49, and 46 respectively. They have an Instagram account named Band 3T’s; where they shared a joint statement to announce the news of their father’s death on Monday morning.
They said they are announcing with heavy hearts that their father Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Tito Jackson is no longer with them. After this news, they are shocked, Saddened, and heartbroken.
Sons used the word “incredible man” for their father in the post that cares for others and their well-being.
They said some people know their father as Tito Jackson from the legendary Jackson 5, some as “Coach Tito” while others as “Poppa T”. They continued saying that they will miss him tremendously.
At the end of the post, they requested fans to honor their father with love as he always did.
Questlove condolences and expressed his sorrow, saying that all the Jackson brothers are heroes to me. Right now I don’t have words to express my sadness. May the Jackson family have peace and comfort after this news. He thanked Tito at the end.
Tito Jackson and his Brothers Worked Together
Tito Jackson got fame as a teenager and worked with his brothers Jackie, Marlon, Jermaine, and Michael Jackson as they came out with Motown hits.
This group of five brothers was managed by their father Joe Jackson; he died at 89 in 2018.
The group did some chart topper works including “ABC”, and others. In 1997 those hits inducted the group into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
The iconic band was nominated three times for the Grammys.
Tito started his solo career and released “Tito Time” in 2016 when the 5 brothers’ band fizzled out after a few decades.
Until his death, Tito kept making music and showing performances but recently left the bright lights of Hollywood behind.
A few days before death Tito Jackson reflected on the legacy of his brother Michael and lamented the hardships of life he went through; Micheal died in 2009. After his death Tito kept a close and strong relationship with his children Paris, Prince, and Bigi; he often visited them in Los Angeles.
