Almost a year after their wedding, Francis Bean Cobain, daughter of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, and Riley Hawk, son of famous professional skateboarder Tony Hawk, have welcomed their first child.
The couple posted the announcement to Instagram over the weekend. According to the social media post, their son was born on September 17 and is named Ronin Walker Cobain Hawk.
A Sweet Introduction
In a kind invitation into a few moments of their new parenthood, the couple posted candid, black and white photos of the newborn.
One is a closeup of the baby’s cheeks and fingers while swaddled in a blanket. In another, he grabs his mother’s finger. The last photo is Riley holding Ronan while looking down at the child in adoration.
The post is captioned, “Welcome to the world most beautiful son. We love you more than anything.”

Little Ronin is born into a life surrounded by interesting artists and athletes. His mother is a visual artist and his father is a professional skateboarder.

The couple’s wedding was actually officiated by REM co-founder, Michael Stipe, who is also Francis Bean’s godfather. This child is guaranteed to be surrounded by talented and successful friends and family to guide and nurture him.
