Celebrity Comedian Saves Dog From Wild Animal

Star comedian Brittany Furlan was seen courageously saving her dog right in her own backyard in Woodland Hills.

Brittany was simply going about her day in her home when a wild coyote appeared in her backyard.

Shockingly, the coyote grabbed the couple’s English cream long-haired miniature dachshund (Neena) right by the pool.

Furlan’s husband, Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee, posted the Ring video of the dramatic sequence of events.

You can watch the video of the attack here:

Furlan’s natural reaction is to scream for Neena, but courageously takes on the coyote with her bare hands!

While out of view, Furlan stated she climbed up the wall and simply grabbed the dog right from the coyote’s mouth.

Furlan took to Instagram to share her story:

I was letting the dogs out to pee and a coyote came and grabbed Neena in broad daylight,” Furlan wrote on Instagram. “Please be very careful with your dogs. I’ve lived here for four years and I’ve never seen one coyote and then today this happened.

I climbed up the wall and grabbed her out of its mouth. Thank God she’s a little bit fat because he couldn’t make it over the wall with her. If it was teenie she would’ve been gone,” Furlan shared on social media.

Tommy was then seen on the Ring Camera shortly after Brittany saved the dog on the Ring camera to ensure the coyote did not reappear.

This is unfortunately not the only occurrence of a coyote targeting a family pet in the Los Angeles area, when a coyote made it INSIDE a home in May and attacked a man and his Chihuahua. Both unfortunately suffered bites from the wild animal.

According to LA Times, food becomes much more scarce in the fall, which makes neighborhood pets easy prey.

For more information about attacks from a coyote, consult the California Department of Fish and Wildlife.

Should you encounter a coyote, it is advised you wave your arms, make noise and walk toward the coyote until it retreats.

Furthermore, avoid leaving animals or food in the backyard overnight in residential areas, which would naturally attract the vicious predators.
